Is there an important decision you have been avoiding? Something you have been putting off not because of the time it takes but because it causes a feeling of discomfort, anxiety or fear? Maybe it’s a conversation you are avoiding or a bill you don’t want to look at…

The sad reality is that while you try your best to ignore these tasks, they are hovering in the back of your mind causing you even more stress!

But here is the deal, those feelings of fear, anxiety, overwhelm, guilt, shame, and stress are often times buried way down in your subconscious from a past major life event or stressor NOT the actual task, problem or situation you are dealing with (or avoiding) TODAY.

Take a moment and think about the following questions:

  • If you were to think about where you are struggling right now, what would that look like?
  • Where do you feel it?
  • Do fear, anxiety, insecurity and doubt control your decision making process or are they a by-product of your decision making process?

In answering the above questions, you may start to see a pattern in your answers…

For so many years, making decisions were difficult not because the actual decision was hard but because I didn’t know who I was anymore so I didn’t know how to answer…

I was more concerned with how others perceived and thought of me than I thought of myself.  I made decisions based on my insecurities, fears, doubts and anxieties and as a result found myself in a very unhappy time in my life.

At what point did I give other people so much power in my life that I forgot how to live my life for fear of what others would think?

This was a HUGE moment of clarity for me…I had been so consumed in thinking about what others thought of me that I had lost sight of who I truly was.

In my late 20’s I began examining all areas of my life as I realizing that many of my so called coping skills from my childhood were no longer serving me.

I tried therapy, self help books, seeking guidance from friends and family and while these helped and I was making progress…many of the anxieties, fears, worries and doubts still remained.

It was as if I had put a bandaid on them but not truly dealt with them…

About a year ago, I was introduced to EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) also known as Tapping.  As I was learning the techniques, I kept thinking it was awkward and felt weird…but the more I did it, the better I started to feel!

EFT uses acupressure points (very similar to an Acupuncture treatment) to release trapped energy that is blocking us from thinking, feeling and behaving at our optimum levels.

I started tapping on all my feelings around guilt, shame, doubt, insecurities, childhood and one by one, I started to find peace and forgiveness…I felt free and like I could breathe again!

My chest felt 10 pounds lighter…I literally felt like I took weight off my chest!

I desire for you to have that same experience!

Starting January 28, 2019, I am hosting a  5 Day Mindset Refresh Challenge to teach you how to use EFT and start you on your path to healing those old stories and beliefs.

This challenge is going to be EPIC!
